Winter Wonderland

I know I have not been consistent with blogging. I said I was going to blog every day in December. However, I wasn't feeling too well starting on Wednesday. Now, I think I have a small cold. Also, I have been busy. I will try my best to post. I am still going to do the Creative Ever Day Challenge, and I will still write winter themed posts. However, I would like to also post other stuff that have nothing to do with winter.

It all started when I got off the train station with my friend. We were in a new place exploring, so we were pretty much lost. A nice lady approached us after she overheard us talking about which way to go. The lady seemed to know the way, so we followed her directions. Getting there was all too messy because of the huge puddles and gray snow. For some reason there was a lot of unshoveled snow. I was wearing brown colored calf length faux leather boots that day, and I remember just stepping into a deep puddle and lots of tall piles of snow. My boots were very warm and didn't absorb water very well, but that time it was different, so I ended up having to walk around with my boots all soaked up with water.

My friend was better at jumping over puddles compared to me. She is still a great dancer to this day. In middle school, she used to do grand jetes over puddles. It was fun jumping over puddles, and we would know it was one step closer to food, the computer, and television. I say that since I used to go to over her house a lot after school in middle school.

In middle school, there was the four of us, including myself. In eighth grade, we had a movie project. We also had many other English projects. For example, we designed our own cafe. We called our cafe JJLE Cafe. The cafe name included all of our initials. There is an old clip that I look back on. It was about my friends were saying how high school was going to be so much better. It is ironic looking back on that because high school for me at least is not much better. I do miss middle school sometimes. However, I am a junior in high school, and soon I will be moving onto a new chapter of life. All four of us took different paths, and it's funny when people say they will keep in contact with you because that is a total lie a lot of the times. I have tried to keep up with many of my old friends. However, many of them lack effort, and that causes our friendship to melt away just like snow.

Well, back to the story I was talking about in the beginning. It was hard to get there in all of the snow, but we made it there. The scenery took our breaths away. There was the long bridge, the water, and the trees. I breathed in the cold air. I love how winter feels and looks. I stood there amazed at how much snow there was. No, it has not snowed in New York City yet. These pictures were all taken back in January. I remember how empty the place was that day. However, in one picture, I think you can see there was a mom and her baby. I seriously can't wait for winter to arrive!
