Walking to the High Line

June 30th, 2015

☆★☆★HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! Thank you to all the soldiers who fight for our freedom everyday! ☆★☆★☆★☆★

The High Line is a park that is elevated from the ground. It used to be a railway, so you can see some train tracks in some parts. You are able to see many landscapes that are from the city streets when you're walking through it. It is also right nearby the Hudson River.

Originally, I was suppose to go to theater classes because I signed up for them. It was going to be my first day of theater classes. However, I decided to change my mind, and I chose not to go to those classes for this summer.

My friend and I didn't really have anything planned in mind to do, so I suggested going to the High Line since she had always wanted to go before. I had already gone there before in the wintertime and didn't want to go again.

It was actually super boring the first time I went to the High Line.

I just wanted to take a picture of this quote, "Be bold enough to carry the world on your back. But wise enough to know you can't." -SRJ

I think here we were walking to the Hudson River Park.

I don't know what this says. People peace??

We actually did end up walking to one of the Hudson River Piers.

Trying to walk to the High Line now

There were so many nice apartments!

We were almost there!

Passing by the market

It was so near! It was right in front of our eyes. We had walked so much!

It looked like a giant marshmallow to me.

Finally here!

My feet were hurting like crazy! I wish I had worn sneakers because these sandals were not comfortable. They also had a heel on them making it worse for me. I had a million blisters on my feet when I got home.

We were finally going up. I don't know whose arm is that.

It actually wasn't that bad this time around. I suggest not going in the wintertime. It was really windy and cold when I went in the winter. There were no plants because it was wintertime. It looked dull to me. There just wasn't much to see. When I went in June, there was so much going on. I never realized how long the High line was before. I will be posting more pictures of it! Hopefully, it will be up sometime soon!

Thanks for reading! Leave a comment below and tell me what you think. I would also love to hear any suggestions or requests on what I should blog next.

                               As always,
                                                Lisa :)
